BIO Artist Statement: My art is a reflection of my passion for the landscape and people of the west. From hiking through the aspen groves to listening to the wind on top of the Rocky Mountains I find peace and solitude which I try to share with my audience. All this beauty brings me to a place where, with the canvas and paint in hand, I create what I see in my mind. Using an intense color palette and lush thick paint strokes I try to convey the constant motion and absolute beauty in painting my own personal vision of Colorado and the Southwest.
Biography Located next to the beautiful Rocky Mountains I have been an artist and illustrator for over twenty years and lived in Colorado for over thirty years. My studio has created illustrations and paintings for national and regional advertising agencies and design firms . Some of my clients include IBM, Coors Light and American Express. I have won national awards in both illustration and my fine art.
For the last four years I have been teaching college courses and showing locally a brand new body of contemporary oil paintings for the contemporary Southwest gallery market.
